Choosing a neighbourhood in Dhaka

Choosing a neighbourhood in Dhaka

A home in Dhaka is never only the flat. It is the walk to the corner, the shade of a particular tree, the sound of the lane at six in the evening.

We spend as much time with neighbourhoods as we do with floor plans. Gulshan’s quieter pockets feel different from Banani’s busier edges; Baridhara’s residential calm is not the same as a tower that looks across a main road.

Ask what you need on a Tuesday morning: a school run, a place to walk, a sense that the street still belongs to people rather than only to traffic. Then ask what you need on a Friday night — privacy, company, or both.

Photographs sell a view. Living well asks for a map you can trust. That is the counsel we try to give before anyone signs.
